Diamonds are found in almost all colors, from purple "beauty" of the Hope diamond to shades of blue, brown, gray, orange, etc. But colored diamonds are very rare and expensive. Chances are, you see all the diamonds in your diamond shopping will be white or yellow, and white, the better.

The yellow color of diamonds comes from nitrogen, and usually more yellow the stone, the value is lower. There's a good reason. The yellow stoneappears less sharp and bright. Stone Whiter light, movement, make it sparkle and shine.

The exception to this rule is the canary diamond, which is a nice bright yellow and very expensive. Some people are more sensitive to the color of diamonds. What may appear slightly yellow you can see clearly that a second person, so this is a higher quality of color will take to satisfy you.

The best way to judge the color of a diamond is the use of one or Fall Great SpectrumColorimetric instrumentation Save and compare it with a master set.

Here is the chromatic scale for grading:

D, E, F refers to the colorless, G, H, I refer to almost colorless, J, K, L out a bit 'yellow, M, N, O, show slight yellow P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, X, shows a dark yellow color, and Z Fancy.

Although there are a number of grades in each category, there are small differences between the grades of a letter. D is the clearest and most valuable, X is a dark yellow, and the cheapest.Z-grade colored diamonds are more rare and expensive. A diamond so saturated with nitrogen, which is a deep, rich yellow is as rare as a diamond colorless.

Fluorescence

Fluorescence is a diamond in response to ultraviolet (UV). Some diamonds glow different colors under UV light, and the general rule is to avoid them. If you put a diamond under UV light and glows strong blue, diamonds look dull in the sunlight. Diamonds with strong fluorescence canmaximum value of less than 20% of diamonds, which is not fluorescent. Weak fluorescence, which did not missed the diamond is not OK.

SIMILAR SIZING

Generation of similar instruments, corresponding to levels of clarity, the degree of color. For each classification, there is a color, quality products, or make the best game in the determination of value. Diamond corresponding rating is sold at higher prices in the first game, and also to assess the value of more than diamonds, and therefore has a greaterthe resale value. Buy a diamond with the non-matching color and clarity and how to buy a pink Porsche goes well until you try to sell it. The market rose on the Porsche are simply not as good as the market, for example, red Porsche.

The value of a stone is always in the order of lower color quality and the highest grade equivalent. If you do not reach the score – they say you buy a high clarity and low color, high or low color and clarity – you will never findcompensation for the higher grade.
